Minimum wage / minimum salary
  • Tasks requiring qualification: from EUR 2,607.23 to EUR 3,779.51
  • Tasks requiring high qualification: from EUR 3,854.39 to EUR 7,415.39


Apprenticeship pay
1st year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,037.82
2nd year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,314.02
3rd year of apprenticeship: EUR 1,797.65


Supplements and allowances
Supplements and allowances for office managers and deputy office managers


Working time
The regular working time is 40 hours per week
. For several groups, the working time is governed by Section 14 of the Official Regulations of the Austrian Federal Forests (
Bundesforste-Dienstordnung
) (the working time depends on the nature of the work performed)
Supplement for extra hours:
50% supplement; 100% supplement for overtime during the night; remuneration for Sundays and public holidays: 100% for overtime up to the 8th hour and 200% from the 9th hour


Notice periods
Basically after the end of each calendar quarter
For employers:
6 weeks
after 2 years of employment 2 months
after 5 years of employment 3 months
after 15 years of employment 4 months
after 25 years of employment 5 months
