This website additionally loads a web service provided by CloudFlare Inc., 101 Townsend St, 94107 San Francisco, USA (in the following: CloudFlare). We use these data to ensure website performance, for full and secure functionality. In connection with this service, your browser may transmit personal data to CloudFlare.
The legal basis for processing the data is to perform a task carried out in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR). The specific interest is to ensure secure and fault-free website functioning. Matomo ((formerly: PIWIK)
To analyse how you use this website, we use Matomo (formerly: PIWIK), which is open source software. The following items are processed using this software: your IP address; the web pages you visit; the website that referred you to our internet site (referrer URL); the time you spend on this website; and how often this website is viewed.
To collect these data, Matomo stores via your browser a cookie on your end device. The cookie is valid for one year.
We use Matomo to ensure that this website is designed to be appealing, performant and fault-free, and to provide a broad spectrum of information in line with our basic content. The legal basis for processing the data is to perform a task carried out in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR).
We use Matomo with the “Automatically Anonymize Visitor IPs” feature, which truncates your IP address and makes it impossible to trace it back to you or the internet connection you use.
If you are not in agreement with this kind of processing, you can set your internet browser to stop storing the cookie. You also have the alternative of opting out of the analysis of your user behaviour.
Transmission of personal data when sharing or recommending content (“Tell a friend”)
This function allows website content to be forwarded to an email address. The data entered are used exclusively for this function. The data are stored for two weeks to enable logging and to allow tracing in the event of suspected misuse.
We use this function to ensure that our website is designed to be appealing and user-friendly, and to provide a broad spectrum of information in line with our basic content. The legal basis for processing the data is to perform a task carried out in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR).
Shariff
This website utilises social media buttons provided by Shariff to support users in sharing content. These share buttons remain deactivated and no personal data are shared with Facebook, Google or Twitter. Only once users activate the buttons, sharing is enabled: prior to activation, no data is transmitted, so that third parties are unable to track user activity. By clicking the buttons, users consent to transmission of their data and are then able to recommend, share or tweet content.
Contact form
When you send us data via our contact form, we store the information you enter in the form as well as the contact details you provide. This information allows us to respond to your query and to get in touch if you have further questions. We will not pass on your data without your consent. The legal basis for processing the data is to perform a task carried out in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR).
We retain any data you enter in the form, until there is no longer any need to store the data (e.g. once your query has been processed) or until you request deletion. The foregoing applies without prejudice to mandatory provisions of law – in particular those specifying retention periods.
